Northwest Registered Agent, LLC

Northwest Registered Agent logo with gray backgroundNorthwest Registered Agent is our favorite Registered Agent Service in the business formation industry. And they’re who we use for our own LLCs.

They have offices in all 50 states, plus Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia.

Northwest provides excellent customer service. They also have transparent pricing, and they safeguard their customers’ data. Meaning, they offer privacy features so you can keep your address off public records.

Northwest was founded in 1998 and they only hire LLC and Registered Agent experts. In fact, Northwest doesn’t have a sales team at all.

Instead, all of their customer service staff are very knowledgeable and are easy to reach by phone or email. And they can answer any LLC questions you can think of.

Whether it’s LLC formation services, Registered Agent services, or Annual Report filings – anything you need help with for your LLC, they’ve got you covered.

In our opinion, they’re the best in the business, which is why we offer their discount links on our site.

Why Northwest Registered Agent coupons don’t exist

Coupon codes and promotional codes can be tedious to keep track of until you’re ready to make your purchase. Or you get excited to find a promo code, only to find out it’s expired at checkout.

So to make things simple, Northwest Registered Agent uses special discount links. These links already have the coupons applied. Said another way, the links on this page include a discount code that is automatically applied to your order as soon as you click them.

Note: By using our special link, the average discount is $165 of savings.

Northwest Registered Agent discounts are available as links on our site instead of coupon codes. Northwest uses only discount links because unlike coupon codes, they never expire. This means our links always have the most up-to-date discounts for Northwest, and you don’t have to type in any codes!

We love that any time you call Northwest, an expert in LLCs and Registered Agent requirements will pick up their phone right away.

Northwest Registered Agent has great prices without any annoying upsells or hidden fees. And unlike many of their competitors, they don’t sell your data to 3rd parties.

Additionally, our favorite feature of Northwest Registered Agent is their policy of “Privacy by Default“. This means that when you hire them to form your LLC, they can use their office address throughout your LLC filing. This helps keep your address off public records.

Keeping your address off of public records helps reduce junk mail and spam. It also helps to prevent your name and personal address from appearing in Google and other search engines.

Note: Northwest Registered Agent offers their “Privacy by Default” service in every state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico!

What is a Registered Agent?

Registered AgentA Registered Agent is a person or company that agrees to receive legal mail on behalf of your LLC. Every state except for West Virginia and New York requires all LLCs to list a Registered Agent on their LLC paperwork – and to keep one on file as long as their LLC is in business.

The original purpose of Registered Agents was to receive court documents if a business was involved in a lawsuit. And they’re an important part of how our legal system works.

However, today your Registered Agent may also receive state notices and reminders from the Secretary of State.

Then they’ll forward that mail to you. This helps you to keep your LLC in good standing with the state, and respond to any court documents in a timely manner.

What are Registered Agent services?

When forming an LLC, you need to choose a Registered Agent. A Registered Agent is a person or company listed with the state who agrees to receive legal mail and notices for your LLC.

You can be your own Registered Agent or you can ask a friend or family member who lives in the state where you’re forming your LLC. Alternatively, you can hire a Professional Registered Agent Company (aka Commercial Registered Agent).

Commercial Registered Agents (like Northwest Registered Agent) specialize in receiving legal mail and state notices on behalf of businesses. Most service companies offer a “digital mailbox”, meaning that any mail that is sent to them for your LLC will be scanned and uploaded to your online account.

Our favorite Registered Agent Service is Northwest Registered Agent. They’re who we use for our own LLCs, and we especially love their address privacy policy!

Yes, Northwest Registered Agent provides Registered Agent services and business formation services in all 50 states. They also offer service in Washington DC and Puerto Rico.

Any mail that is sent to your LLC will be scanned and uploaded to your account. And once that happens, you’ll receive an email notification letting you know that something’s been uploaded.

What is an EIN number?

An EIN Number is a 9-digit number provided to businesses by the IRS. You can think of it like your business’s “Social Security Number”.

An EIN is used for tax purposes and you’ll need one to open an LLC business bank account. You’ll also use an EIN if you have employees or apply for business credit cards or loans.

You can get your EIN from the IRS website, or you can hire Northwest Registered Agent to get your EIN for you.

Note: An EIN is also known as a Federal Tax ID Number. They mean the same thing.
