IncNow Review

IncNow logo

IncNow is a business services company that specializes in Registered Agent and LLC formation services. IncNow (also known as Agents and Corporations Inc.) has been around since 1971, making them one of the longest-lasting companies in this highly competitive industry. IncNow only forms LLCs in three states: Delaware, Florida, and Nevada.

Looking for an IncNow alternative? We recommend using Northwest Registered Agent ($39 + state fee)

Check out our Northwest Registered Agent review for more info.

LLC Services

IncNow only registers LLCs in Delaware, Florida, and Nevada. But they will help you Foreign Qualify your LLC in the state where you live and operate.

Warning! If you don’t live or do business in the state where IncNow forms your LLC, you’ll need to register your LLC as a Foreign LLC in your home state. This means you need to maintain two LLC filings, pay two state filing fees, and maintain two Registered Agents. Please see Best state to form an LLC to make sure you’re forming an LLC in the right state.

Foreign Qualification (Foreign LLC)

IncNow will file a foreign qualification, which allows your LLC to do business in a state besides the one it is formed in.

They charge $189 for this service, plus the state foreign entity filing fee where you’re qualifying.

And, if the state you’re qualifying in requires a Certificate of Good Standing, IncNow charges you an extra $99 service fee to obtain that certificate. This is on top of the state’s fee for the certificate (which is usually around $50).

Note: You must have a Registered Agent in any state where your LLC is registered. IncNow can only be your LLC Registered Agent in Delaware, Florida, or Nevada. That means you must either be your own Registered Agent, or hire a different company to be your Registered Agent in the state where you are foreign qualifying your LLC.

Most competitors charge about $150 for a foreign qualification and their packages usually include obtaining any required Certificate of Good Standing.

IncNow’s service is very expensive in comparison at $189 + $99 for the foreign qualification and Certificate of Good Standing, plus the amount you pay another Registered Agent company. Registered Agent services average $125 a year.

For example, let’s say Juan lives in California and uses IncNow to form his LLC in Nevada. But he also needs to Foreign Qualify his LLC in California, because that’s where he lives and operates his family owned business.

IncNow LLC Service Review: Foreign Qualification Service Pricing

(Note: If you want to file yourself and save money, check out our step-by-step guides on how to start an LLC.)

Price Points

The pricing on IncNow’s homepage is confusing, and misleading. There are several “promo codes” available, and they show you prices as if those promo codes were already applied. And the prices on the homepage are only for Delaware LLCs, not Florida or Nevada. IncNow doesn’t offer all 3 package levels in all 3 states.

LLC Formation Packages

IncNow offers three LLC formation packages at varying price points. These packages are the Basic Package, Complete Package, and the Now Package.

Note: On the actual checkout pages, the packages are instead called Basic Formation, Complete Formation, and Now Formation.

The “Now LLC package” is not available in Florida or Nevada, and “Basic LLC” is also not available in Nevada.

Special offer: Get a 60% discount when you hire Northwest to form your LLC ($39 + state fee).

Basic LLC

The Basic LLC package is the most affordable option for IncNow’s LLC services. Basic LLC costs $189, and includes state fees in Delaware ($90) and Florida ($125). This package is not available in Nevada, so none of this applies to IncNow’s LLC formation services in that state.

The most important LLC formation service included in this package is the completion and filing of your LLC’s Articles of Organization with your state. IncNow will also conduct a business name availability search, which ensures that there isn’t already a business with the same name or a similar name in your state.

You can use our simple guide to check whether your LLC name is available at no cost.

Basic LLC includes a mailed copy of your approved LLC documents sent through the US Postal Service. If you’d like them mailed sooner, they charge you $49 to send them through FedEx.

And if you want your approved LLC documents emailed to you, IncNow charges $19 just to send you some PDF attachments online.

IncNow offers FedEx and email document delivery

The Basic package also includes one year of Registered Agent service for a Florida or Delaware LLC. IncNow’s Registered Agent service is $90 per year after that.

If your business isn’t located in Delaware or Florida, but you use IncNow to register your LLC there, you will have to foreign qualify your LLC in the state where the business is actually located. As discussed above, foreign qualification costs an extra $189 service fee, which doesn’t include the state fees. And you’ll still pay the $189 Basic LLC price to register in Delaware or Florida.

Complete LLC

The Complete LLC package is a step up from the Basic package. Complete LLC costs $298 in Delaware and Florida, and $650 in Nevada. Like the Basic package, the Complete package also includes state fees.

Complete LLC includes everything in the Basic LLC package plus a customized 20-page LLC Operating Agreement. IncNow flashes warnings if you select Basic LLC because they say an Operating Agreement is required by law.

IncNow LLC Service Review: LLC Formation package options

We didn’t like the fact that the Operating Agreement message is in red and involves scary references to legal statutes.

Also, an Operating Agreement doesn’t need to be 20 pages long, or full of legal jargon.
Instead, you can use our free Operating Agreement template to get a simple Operating Agreement.

The Complete package also includes one free year of Registered Agent service in Delaware, Florida, or Nevada. IncNow’s Registered Agent service is $90 per year after that.

If your business isn’t located in Delaware, Florida or Nevada, but you use IncNow to register your LLC there, you will have to foreign qualify your LLC in the state where the business is actually located. As discussed above, foreign qualification costs an extra $189 service fee, which doesn’t include the state fees. And you’ll still pay the $298 Complete LLC price to register in Delaware or Florida, or $650 in Nevada.

Now LLC

The Now LLC package is IncNow’s premium option. It’s priced at $309 for Delaware only. This package is not available in Florida or Nevada, so none of this applies to IncNow’s services in Florida and Nevada.

It includes all of the products and services from the Basic and Complete packages, plus expedited processing and emailed copies of your LLC’s Articles of Organization. The price of Now LLC includes both the state LLC filing fee and the state expedited fee.

The Now LLC package also includes one year of Registered Agent service. IncNow’s Registered Agent Service is $90 per year after that.

Again, we don’t think this package is worth over $100 more than the Complete package or over $200 more than the Basic package. The only extra features you’re getting are an LLC Operating Agreement, your LLC formation documents via email, and expedited filing.

If your business isn’t located in Delaware, but you use IncNow to register your LLC there, you will have to foreign qualify your LLC in the state where the business is actually located. As discussed above, foreign qualification costs an extra $189 service fee, which doesn’t include the state fees. And you’ll still pay the $309 Now LLC formation service price to register in Delaware.

Turnaround Time

IncNow is known for having very quick turnaround times. They claim their Delaware LLC formation times are 4-6 days with standard processing (with the Basic LLC or Complete LLC formation packages).

IncNow claims that they can get your LLC formation approved in one business day if you choose expedited processing. Many customer reviews on the Internet back up these claims.

Matt Horwitz, founder of LLC University®

Pro Tip: Those are the same turnaround times you would get if you filed your Delaware LLC yourself with expedited filing. Check out How long does it take to form an LLC in Delaware? for more details.

Upsells

As with most LLC formation services, IncNow offers quite a few upsells. They do mention these upsells during the order process, but they don’t push you to purchase them with pop-ups like some competing LLC formation service companies.

IncNow's Upsells: Popular LLC services list

Statement of Organizer

IncNow charges $49 for this optional extra. A Statement of Organizer simply “transfers” the LLC from the person filing your LLC (if it wasn’t you or another Member of the LLC) to the owners (Members) of the LLC.

If you were the Organizer and you’re a Member of your LLC, you don’t need this document at all. And you definitely shouldn’t pay $49 for one. Just use our free template instead.

Amendments

IncNow offers to help you make amendments and to file these amendments with your state. They charge $389 for this service, and will only file Amendments in Delaware, Florida or Nevada. This is pretty expensive, as competitors charge around $100 for amendment filings.

DBA (aka Fictitious Name)

IncNow’s Doing-Business-As (DBA) registration service is also overpriced. They charge $214 for this service, which includes the $25 state filing fee. Most competitors charge around $100.

LLC Operating Agreement

If you want IncNow to help you amend your LLC’s Operating Agreement, they will charge you $250.

Tip: Because this document doesn’t get filed with the state, and is just an internal document for your business, you can just make the amendments yourself. You don’t have to hire a company or a lawyer to do that.

EIN

IncNow will file for an Employer Identification Number (EIN) for $99. You can easily get an EIN for an LLC on the IRS website for free, so this service is unnecessary.

Other LLC formation companies charge $50 – $100 for this service. So even if you choose to hire a company, IncNow is on the expensive end.

LLC Materials Kit

If you want an LLC kit that includes a personalized binder and a custom corporate seal, IncNow will sell you one for $99. This is about what competitors charge, but LLC kits are also unnecessary.

If you want to order a business seal or other stationery items, we recommend Moo.com. You can design and fully customize everything you order from Moo.com, unlike the bundled items through IncNow.

Certified Copies

You can get certified copies of your Articles of Organization from the state for $99. Most competitors charge around $50 for this service, so IncNow’s price is a bit high.

Misleading Pricing and Confusing Language

99% of the text on the IncNow website is geared toward Delaware, so figuring out how to form a Florida or Nevada LLC with them can be difficult.

Their pricing is also confusing. The advertised prices are the discounted promo code prices, and IncNow shows you the costs as if the codes were already applied. This means the price is unexpectedly higher when you go to check out. And you also have to manually input the code yourself. If you forget to do so, you pay the full price.

IncNow has hidden costs in their service fees and packages – even on the checkout screen. So it’s difficult to identify all of the charges that go into a price you are shown.

In fact, it took us significant extra effort to determine accurate pricing for most of IncNow’s services. We had to contact customer service to confirm, and do research on state costs to try and reverse-engineer the fee structure.

For example, the page about IncNow’s add-on Foreign Qualification service only gives prices for foreign qualifying your LLC in Delaware. They list the price of this service at $189, plus a $90 fee per year for IncNow to be your Delaware Registered Agent, and the $200 Delaware filing fee.

However, if you need to Foreign Qualify in any other state, IncNow charges you extra fees to request a Certificate of Good Standing. That means the actual price is $189 IncNow foreign qualification fee plus the state filing fee, plus the fee for the Registered Agent service you hire, plus IncNow’s $99 Certificate of Good Standing fee and any state fee for the Certificate.

You Can’t Choose Your Registered Agent

In the formation process, IncNow didn’t ask us to identify a Registered Agent. That makes us think they force you to pay for IncNow to be your Registered Agent service and don’t give you the option of being your own Registered Agent or appointing someone else.

Customer Service

IncNow has decent customer service. They offer online chat and phone-based customer support.

The reps we spoke to were knowledgeable and upfront about IncNow’s LLC formation process. They noted that because they only form LLCs in Delaware, Florida, and Nevada, we should be sure to add the Foreign Qualification service if we lived elsewhere.

Neither representative went above and beyond to explain any features or provide any extra advice. The customer support was good, but just sufficient.

Want something better? Hire Northwest ($39 + state fee) to form your LLC. They’re our favorite company and who we recommend to friends and family. Northwest doesn’t hire any sales reps. Instead, their entire staff are subject matter experts and they’re genuinely happy to answer any LLC questions you have!

Check out our Northwest Registered Agent review for more info.

User Experience

IncNow offers a decent user experience. Their website isn’t as modern as some of the newer competitors in the LLC formation industry.

One thing we definitely didn’t like about IncNow’s user experience was the lack of information regarding non-Delaware LLCs. Every page, including the additional services and extras, is tailored for Delaware LLCs only.

Frankly, it’s hard to find where to start the LLC formation process. Several of the buttons for “Start a Delaware LLC” and similar wording don’t actually lead you to the formation process.

And once you find the formation screen, IncNow only asks for your business name, your contact information (name, address, and email), and the names of the LLC members and managers. We don’t like that they file Articles of Organization with that limited information, without giving you the option to specify a principal office address or choose who will be your Registered Agent.

Customer Reviews

Online reviews indicate that customers are really pleased with IncNow.

IncNow has a great 4.9 out of 5 stars for their customer feedback rating on Trustpilot. But since the majority of the positive reviews contain boilerplate “good service” comments, we can’t really identify what customers like about IncNow.

Additional Services/Features

IncNow offers additional business filing services, such as Dissolving an LLC, Reinstating an LLC, and obtaining a Certificate of Good Standing.

As noted above, the prices on IncNow’s website are only for performing these services in Delaware. The price for IncNow to do any of these things in another state will be different.

Registered Agent Service

Price

IncNow offers Registered Agent services, which means that they will receive legal documents on behalf of your business. They charge $90 per year for this service, which is reasonable.

However, IncNow is only a Registered Agent in Delaware, Florida, and Nevada.

So if your business is located in another state and your Foreign Qualify your LLC there, IncNow can’t be the Registered Agent. You will have to hire another company, or be your own Registered Agent.

IncNow alternative: We recommend hiring Northwest ($39 + state fee) to form an LLC. Northwest can form your LLC in any state, and can be your Registered Agent in any state. They have better prices, too!

Check out our Northwest Registered Agent review for more info.

Mail Forwarding

IncNow will scan and email any mail sent to your LLC. They will forward Service of Process (delivery of legal documents) to you via certified mail. They forward state notices via regular mail.

IncNow will also send you emails about LLC Annual Report and franchise tax deadlines for your LLC.

IncNow Verdict: Are They a Good Choice for your LLC?

Why choose IncNow as your LLC service provider?

If you live or do business in Delaware or Florida, you could hire IncNow to form your LLC. However, we don’t recommend using IncNow to form your LLC. IncNow isn’t in our list of top LLC formation services.

IncNow’s services are overpriced and confusing, and they charge a lot to Foreign Qualify your LLC in your home state.

If you want to hire a company to form your LLC, we instead recommend using Northwest Registered Agent ($39 + state fee).
